My friend has recently told me she really likes me and wants to date but would like to focus on school. She says that I’m everything she looks for in a guy and I’m the only guy that is nice to her and respects her. She has told me this all through text. But at school, we talk often but it is only small talk and sometimes she flat out ignores me. Plus she will hang out with other guys, and will constantly hug/hold them and I’ve asked her if she likes those guys but she says no. What is she doing? Is she just playing a game and is only using me for self-esteem (she gets depressed a lot and I will always help her by complimenting her, telling her how awesome she is, etc.) She has never said anything nice about me besides me be ing nice. I’m starting to question if she actually likes me or not. What should I do? It is really messing with my emotions and I need to make a decision.
