Open Question: Is it right for your boyfriend to call your behaviour strange to someone you both know?

I have recently moved in with my boyfriend, who is the head-tenant of a flat of five.

One of the guys in the flat has recently thrown a party and forgot to put me as a host on the party on facebook, when everyone else in the flat is a host. I was left and invited as a guest. As you can imagine I was offended and I felt as though I was excluded from the flat. I asked my boyfriend to talk to him for me, so he eventually agreed to. But he agreed that in doing so, if the flatmate asked him what he thought of it, he would say that it is strange for me to get upset about it?

Should my boyfriend be calling me strange in this kind of instance?
